Project Overview

Eat Your Greens takes the oldest piece of advice at the dinner table and pushes it until the body itself turns green. The vegetables never land on a plate. They are worn and lived in: boots grown from cucumbers, a dress layered from crisp lettuce leaves and a cactus used as a toothbrush. Shot from below with hard light against an intense blue sky, the models meet the viewer with a mix of defiance and indifference. The series plays with wellness culture and the constant pressure to eat clean and live healthy, taking “you are what you eat” literally.

Challenge

The greens kept slipping back into the familiar. The cucumber boots turned into rubber wellies, the lettuce dress into ruffled fabric and the cactus into a plastic toothbrush. Each material had to be pushed back again and again until it read as fresh produce.

Not a single reference or inspiration photo was used. The concept started as sketches on paper and was written entirely into Soul 2.0 as text prompts, with Claude helping to sharpen the language. Nano Banana Pro handled retouching and plant textures, and Adobe Lightroom pulled the blues and greens into one final grade.
